Nap time

The forums, for no clearly-explained reason, appear to be annihilating the site today. Or at least, I think that’s what’s going on. I’ve taken them offline temporarily to see if it makes a difference in the grand scheme of me being able to access my own site. In the meantime, I guess you can talk about very important things in the comments thread?

Edit: Switching off the forums has helped, but bandwidth usage is still unreasonably huge given the site’s current, modest traffic levels. I’ve killed offsite image hotlinking on the suspicion that someone has been behaving poorly. Hopefully this will make a difference and I can reinstate the forums this afternoon.

  1. The entirety of the forums has this one thread to converse on? Let’s see how long this takes to degrade into a GAF thread.

  2. Oof. Usually reading the forums at lunch instead of during evening rush makes for smoother loading. Not today, evidently.

  3. Did all the slurp spiders finally overwhelm the bandwidth by connecting at once or something?

  4. I did notice it would take a couple of minutes to load pages this morning. Hopefully this will fix it.

  5. i guess i actually have to work today.

anyway, teamspeak and diablo– a winning combination!

  6. Only 10%? What kind of Talking Tyrant are you? =)

Seriously, though, I expect to try load the forums at least 3 times today on pure reflex.

  7. Hmm, I think my productivity is going to go up 10% today…

I’m so glad the forums didn’t go down until I went home from work today. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have something to distract me from my job.

  8. I’m so glad the forums didn’t go down until I went home from work today. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have something to distract me from my job.

    Stop boasting.

  9. Too Human is going to suck. How do I upload this picture I made of Dennis Dyack crying while he has relations with his stepmother while his father and stepsister drown?

  10. Noooooo, I was just about to tell everyone about how I just beat the Hellion!

Congrats! That was probably the toughest battle I’ve faced yet in EO2 and I’m about 3/4 of the way through the 4th Stratum.

  11. Jeremy’s bandwidth hosted on AT&T/Apple’s iPhone account system: CONFIRMED

…Now I’ll have to find actual work to do.

  12. Damn, and I was just going to complain about the music in the new Mega Man 9 trailer!

  13. Thank god I brought my DS and EOII with me to work today. The 10th floor awaits my intrepid party of RLBMS (not exactly a normal combination, really, it was supposed to be my exploratory crew….who have happened to level way way past my supposed “A” team of elemental damage dealers. Oh man. having a S with max mine/chop/take and the rest in stalker makes him dead weight.)

This…IS the EOII fun club thread, right?

  14. Okay so anyway guys, I got a flat tire this morning, and I didn’t want to screw around with fixing it until this evening when it won’t be 800 degrees outside, so I ask one of the girls at work if she’ll let me tag along with her at lunchtime so I can deposit my paycheck, and she says she’s too busy but I can just borrow her car, so I drive it to the bank and then to McDonald’s and when I go to start it I can’t get the key to turn, and I call her up and she’s like just jiggle it, and I do that and it doesn’t work, so she’s like okay I’ll come down there, and she does, and starts the car in about six seconds, making me look like a retard, and then I came back and posted this long-ass run-on sentence about it. And now my burger’s cold.

    How’s your day going?

  15. Wow now I look like an ass. The last post was referring to the brackets around my name, thought they might be fixed but they are still there.

  16. Man, I’m so glad I’m working from home today. While you suckers get to sit around and have to do actual work, I’m going to play Crackdown!

  17. My day is going mixed, Brick, thanks for asking! I started the day off spending far too long messing around at the Chinese Embassy, an endeavor apparently doomed to failure by my lack of the correct Work Permit Visa form. Then I had to do last minute shopping for a wedding, after which I watched Hancock – it was fun enough. I am now back home, and, after an hour of looking for some shoes, have finally settled down to find the forums barred. Angst! I’ll have to find my R&R in Etria, I guess.

Time to pass the puck. How’s everyone else’s day going?

  18. also, mr bungle makes normal difficulty look like a joke.

I just discovered that my workplace has pads of graph paper, which means that today is dedicated to designing new dungeons =)

  19. Today is dungeon design day for me too, shivam. Nothin’ really better to do, so…

  20. I just finished the first draft of my software design specification for an upcoming project, so this is the “slow” part of the day while I wait for a response from the higher-ups. So I guess this would be considered a “good” day, since its certainly less stressful than the rest of the week has been. Plus, I’m going out for Mongolian BBQ tonight!

  21. …Brickroad’s amazing day…
    How’s your day going?

My day is going alright, I’m trying to decide what and where to eat with this girl who is coming over in two hours. All I know is that she likes chicken. Normally she decides where we eat but today she is making me decide where we are going. Help?

  22. But… without Talking Time how will I ask if anyone still plays Burnout: Paradise?

…except for that I just did.

  23. Order sexy, romantic food, like Subway. (CUE FORUM INJOKES KEKEKEKEKE)

Off to Hellboy II here in a few minutes, and then Chocobo Dungeon should get here later today, and I need to fix a screen door for the deck, so.. you know. Not a bad day, all things considered.

  24. Yeah I really need to get that air element dungeon down for this sunday. I’m also going to the refurbished bike shop soon to have a look around. I looked online at the swankier bike shops and realized all the ones that looked useful for me were $1000+.

Re: Hellion. It was way tough, but 1 Fire mist, 2 somas, 1 nectar, 2 nectar IIs, and 2 medica IIs later everyone came through alive. It would have been easy if I had force skills.
    Traumadore – 11 07 08 – 10:38

  25. There is not, Dizzy, but I can safely tell you that I am awesome.

    Professionally Awesome.

  26. Eh, it’s just as well – our phone system went down today and I had to fix it double time. But now that it’s fixed I will just sit here and think of other ways to not work.

  27. Order sexy, romantic food, like Subway. (CUE FORUM INJOKES KEKEKEKEKE)

    :thumbs down:

Everyone complaining that they are going to be bored and busy at work

Is there a thread that asks who uses Talking Time at work? It seems most of you do, I cannot because my boss has this software that makes a backup of your internet history, and even Talking Time would get me fired. =[

  28. Its difficult to take a nap when your cubicle is 10 feet from the Vice President of Engineering’s office.

  29. I just got Trauma Center 2 in the mail yesterday. Man, it’s pretty depressing.

EO2: How do I get the store to sell TP recovery items? I got to the Chimaera, and he hits pretty hard. I think things would go better if I was able to refill my TP. Perhaps I just need to grind more.

  30. Another thought on Trauma Center 2: From the box art and trailers and stuff, I had concluded that Adel was a girl. The game informs me that I am wrong. I’m kinda disappointed.

  31. I just got CivRev. I’m very excited to play! Hopefully I can get the single player mastered enough so that I can do multiplayer sometime soon!

  32. Parish, that sick queasy feeling in your stomach is the feeling of responsibility for this terrible swarm of people you’ve brought together. Or you’re looking down from an extremely tall building.

Mega Man 5 sucks. Long Live Mega Man V. ;) And Gurren Lagann is $20 for 9 episodes (subs only) at Best Buy! Anyone else pick this up?

  33. Now I’m getting formatting issues. Everything is italicized. :(

Suggestions of murder and relentless slacking off? TT is in moral decay!

  34. Aw man, now I’m gonna spend all day actually playing/writing my LP rather than reading the forums! Rest assured, Sally makes it through another update without getting raped in the pooper by a tentacle monster.

  35. Brickroad: same thing happened to me in my car for the first time…you have to jiggle the steering wheel, it’s some sort of anti-theft device gone wrong. I had to call someone for advice as it’s incredibly unintuitive.

Calorie Mate: so jealous, I’d play coop crackdown with ya

Octopus Prime: I just picked Burnout Paradise for the 360, haven’t really gotten into it so…yes, peopel still play? start a hardcore awesome thread.

Blitzchamp: just be sure to order double meat.

  36. Likewise, I did the first installment of that MM3 thing, which I probably won’t post as an LP but I will put up on my livejournal. I’d share the link with you all but the yubertubes are blocked from work so I don’t know if it went up or not. You could probably try searching for it though.

  37. Aw man, now I’m gonna spend all day actually playing/writing my LP rather than reading the forums! Rest assured, Sally makes it through another update without getting raped in the pooper by a tentacle monster.

I wanted to read an update today =[, that LP FFX thread is one of faves. I’m curious what you’re going to do in Besaid.

Likewise, I did the first installment of that MM3 thing, which I probably won’t post as an LP but I will put up on my livejournal. I’d share the link with you all but the yubertubes are blocked from work so I don’t know if it went up or not. You could probably try searching for it though.

Brickroad, is your LJ listed in the Talking Time blog list?

  38. I got a really bad headache and it makes me want to have tears come from my eyes.

And Final Fantasy 1 can go screw itself.

  39. Mazian: Is that how it is unlocked? I know you get the Warp wire through talking. I guess I’ll try talking to everyone in town again. I was worried that I was missing the TP item by not getting some drop or something. I also considered that I wasn’t supposed to unlock it until a later stratum or something. Because the game is a bastard like that.

  40. So I got around to downloading that NES-style Mega Man 7…but I can’t get it to work. This blows.

  41. Man why you gots to be all down on FF1 where I can hear you. Now I have you run you over with a bus.

  42. The high number of random encounters is ridiculous and a major nuisance. I beat the Earth Fiend and then quit, because I’m tired of getting ambushed by 9 gargoyles.

  43. “EO2: How do I get the store to sell TP recovery items? I got to the Chimaera, and he hits pretty hard. I think things would go better if I was able to refill my TP. Perhaps I just need to grind more.”

It has something to do with items you get from Take points, but I don’t think they’re available until the second stratum. Are you grinding Force, or just assaulting him from the pole?

  44. Err, uhh, if it’s the former, then just stock up on Medicas and grind on a lower floor (the top few rooms in 2F are best for this I’ve found), then run up since you won’t lose unless your party is one full of “bad” force skills. If it’s the latter, you’ll probably just need a little higher level to survive it.

  45. So to beat the first boss in EO2 I should grind my Force skills? Laaaaaaame…

At least now I know why I’m stuck on the first stratum.

  46. And here I was about to ask if it was even possible to win Civ:Rev by something other than a Culture victory… I swear, I set out to win in different ways and by the end I have so many great people forced upon me that I can either build the UN or stall for like… a 100 more turns to win another way…

Anyway, dungeon building. Guess I should be doing that… but… you know… Chocobo’s Dungeon has dungeons… so I’ll probably stick with that for the time being.

  47. I’d probably win in a greater variety of ways in CivRev if it wasn’t so blamed easy to harvest culture. Once I managed to eak out a Economic Victory by somehow making it so I was producing well over 1000 gold per turn.

And there’s a couple scenario’s that you can only win with a Domination victory…

  48. Incidentally, I just found an old copy of Civilization: Call to Power lying around that I never used. Is that any good?

  49. I’ve been working on Someday’s Dreamer: Natsu no Sora Eps 1 summary instead. So much for productivity.

I stopped playing Trauma Center DS 2 somewhere in the middle of chapter 5 because I got tired of skipping through the dialogue. Some one give me a gun to shoot whoever wrote the plot.

  50. I can’t find CivRev ANYWHERE. It’s taken on a Wii-like ethereal quality. On the other hand, I had no trouble finding Trauma Center 2 and yes, I still think Adel is a girl no matter what the game tells me. If not an actual one, then at least a post-op transvestite.

  51. Call to Power is…well, it’s not very good. It’s alternate reality civ 2, made by a team that wasn’t lead by Sid Meier, and by a company that wasn’t Firaxis.

Call to Power 2 was interesting, but CtP1 isn’t really worth it.

Someday’s Dreamer is a show that looks gorgeous, but the story just bored me to tears. I love the art in it so much, though.

  52. Ah well. At least I am knee deep in CivRev. I am a complete n00b when it comes to Civ, so I don’t know much of what I am doing. I started with the Egyptian nation and Cleopatra and…the island I’m on is kinda small. I hope that I am able to do more as I explore. But my soldiers are bored to tears right now.

  53. If not an actual one, then at least a post-op transvestite.

That’s a transsexual. A transvestite just wears the opposite gender’s clothing.

    *hides skirt behind couch*

  54. I’ve been playing around with a wide variety of nations with CivRev, trying to find what ones work for me.
I’m rather fond of the Mongols, since being able to convert Barbarian Villages makes expansion really easy early on, and the Indians, since being able to work with all resources from the get-go lets you prioritize what Science you want to research more effectively

Can’t say I like the Spanish, I rarely end up wrapped up in combat on the high seas.

  55. Nations I’m using? I’ve been switching between each time… I’ve finished a game with Russians, Greeks, and French so far… but they’ve all pretty well played the same, so I guess I need to push the difficulty up higher? What happens is I get free units from research, everyone declares war on me and keeps walking their Warriors in little circles around my towns with riflemen on it instead of advancing their tech, and then I win by culture. Heh. If nothing else, it would be nice if the computer would decide to race me to a tech victory sometimes or something.

Shivam, I admit, the more I play, the more I desire something more… but seeing as I got the DS version, this is probably pretty darn good for something on the go. Still, I’m surprised that I’m doing so well at the lower difficulties even… my next game is going to be at the middle one, I think. Whatever that’s called.

  56. Keep in mind that I’m awful at strategy games, but what I don’t get is the need for a ‘gateway’ Civ. Even at it’s most complicated it’s just about the most accessible, fun strategy game out there. CivIV in particular is only as complex as the player wants it to be.

  57. $20 Gurren Lagann? $200 iPhone? No more Talking Time?

    The rules have changed.

  58. I beat Hell Biker in Nocturne today. Then I found out there are 11 fiends in the game alltogether. *cries*

  59. And Gurren Lagann is $20 for 9 episodes (subs only) at Best Buy!

… Bugger me sideways, I need to buy that now. Damn you, Talking Time!

  60. It must be that Random Image Thread that is causing all our problems. We should replace it with a Random Image Description thread, where we all describe our internet funny finds in painstaking detail. Ha ha. Ha.

  61. eirikr:
Indeed I did. Explored the first kalpa today as well and got the Piscasa. With the Daisoujou and Hell Biker candles I probably have access to the second kalpa, huh?

  62. Wow! I actually get to say hi to the talking time people! I love reading all of your posts! I’m a lurker, so I’ve never spoken with any of you, but I love reading your stuff. Meh. Who am I kidding. No one is going to read this message. Weird… It says I’m logged in as Makkuro… I don’t even know who that is!

  63. Weird… It says I’m logged in as Makkuro… I don’t even know who that is!

    :'(

  64. I, uh, wow. Come to the site to find the forums are down and that Burger Bunnies exist.

  65. Thinaran:

Yes, I believe you do have access to second Kalpa now. It’s the most annoying Kalpa by far, so try and get it out of the way. And did you know there’s somewhere within it where you can get a sweet 250,000 macca? Make good use of your Pisaca…

  66. It’s very weird to see the forum compounded into one area.

Are the MSX versions of the Metal Gear games worth me picking up Metal Gear 3: Subsistence?

  67. Yep. I made WAAAAY too many warriors. As it turns out, the way I’ve been playing puts me closest to a Cultural Victory, so that’s what I’m going to go for. Hopefully I can win before Japan gets a Technological Victory.

  68. Oh, Ghost From Spelunker, that clip that of Duck Twacy vs. Boxcars had “Hall of the Mountain King” and Danny Elfman’s “Breakfast Machine” in it, I believe.

By the way, I loved seeing that clip. Tiny Toon Adventures really was a wonderful extension of the Looney Tunes brand of cartoons.

  69. Guys, does anyone using Firefox 3 experience a bug where the address bar freezes and doesn’t let you write anything in it? I’m thinking about trying Opera again.

  70. I’ve been hopelessly unproductive at work for the past couple of days anyway. *long boring filesystem stuff cut out* There’s a problem and I don’t know why, and the stuff my boss wants me to do requires the problem to be fixed. Plus almost everyone else in the office went rafting instead of working today. This is not making me want to work.

On the upside, once my bosses get back from lunch we’ll drag some stuff out and I get to play around with expensive equipment I don’t really have to worry about breaking, since we’re sending it back to the vendor anyway. AWESOME.

Until then I guess I try to finish mapping out the fifth stratum in regular EO. I’m so behind :(

  71. Someday’s Dreamer is a show that looks gorgeous, but the story just bored me to tears. I love the art in it so much, though.

I’m the opposite. To me the 3D looked painfully ugly, especially compared to modern works, and ruined what was otherwise a fascinating story for me. The new series is produced by HAL Film Maker and directed by Kobayashi and if ANYONE can make the mundane look like the most fascinating thing imaginable it’s them.

  72. Oh, hey. That was me talking about Peter Lorre.

Did anyone get an iPhone today? I’m paranoid about hidden fees they’ll sock me with and I want to know how much cash to bring.

  73. This is so sad and yet so amusing.

And Shivam, I don’t just make Normal difficulty look like a joke, I make Nightmare and Hell look like jokes too (aside from the Maggot Lair). You’ll see!

I too was a little bored by the new Someday’s Dreamer show, but it does look lovely and I like the mixture of media used between the backgrounds and the characters. I had to look up the director because I knew it wasn’t just some regular dude, and it turns out it’s the Beck and Paradise Kiss guy. I am not surprised. I think that I’d watch the show even if it was terrible, though, just to hear Kana Hanazawa in a lead role. She has the sweetest voice.

The new Birdy the Mighty series had some really nice, kinetic action in the first episode, and Birdy’s charisma is a big draw. The character designer seems like a Gainax alum…searching…aaand well, he did work on Gurren Lagann, but as a key animator. Dang, he’s done key animation on a lot of great stuff (including The Girl Who Leapt Throuh Time!). Which is why he’s the animation director on this show in addition to being the character designer! That explains the quality of the animation. Interest level +20%.

I guess it’s time to start a summer anime thread when the forums come back.

  74. I’d buy an iPhone if Rogers wasn’t charging outrageous prices for the contract.

Or, y’know, if I had any money. :/

  75. I wonder if everyone refreshing this comments page is going to kill Parish’s server. LOOK AT WHAT WE’VE BECOME

  76. This thread is like a glorious katamari that rolled up all the subforums and keeps growing and growing with each new discussion subject. It’s a katamari of love.

That, or it’s a terrifying, Tetsuo-like abomination that is about to blow up and take all of Gamespite with it. And then it will say its name.

My, Talking Time really is full of things.

  77. hey bungs, my stash is filling with gems and runes. when is it ok to start using them? also, what about the imbue an item/add sockets to an item things?

  78. I think “full of things” is probably the best description of Talking Time ever, Zef. Well said.

  79. [Gurren Lagann]
… Bugger me sideways, I need to buy that now. Damn you, Talking Time!

Be quick about it – Bandai apparently haven’t printed all that many since the more expensive +dub version is due in November.

The new Birdy the Mighty series had some really nice, kinetic action in the first episode, and Birdy’s charisma is a big draw. The character designer seems like a Gainax

The director on Birdy this time is Kazuki Akane – did you see Noein? Birdys hyper-kinetic action scenes ape what they did in a number of episodes in the show, though Noein probably has the edge in production values. The show was frequently slow-going, but when we got them, the action sequences were pretty amazing.

  80. I think I’m going to give in and buy a copy of Etrian Odyssey II today, while they’re still available around here. I was planning to read a big part of the Fun Club this afternoon, but I guess not now. Anyway, here’s my planned party: Landsknecht, Protector, Gunner, War Magus, Troubadour. Does that sound viable? I never played any of the first game, so I’m mostly picking based on whose portraits I like the most.

  81. Zef: I wanna wad you up into my life. Well said!

Shivam: Runes should be held onto for as long as you can. You can upgrade them, but I always hang onto one of each type. It eats up a lot of inventory space, but when it comes time to make rune words it’s a necessity. We may have to make some rune mules for the group.

As for gems, go ahead and use them now. I try to keep one perfect of each type and use the rest. So once you’ve upgraded to some perfects then start dumping the rest in equipment or selling them. Diamonds are the best gems to watch out for, really, as they give a bonus to all resists when put in a shield. As a Paladin, you’re always going to have a shield, so you can make use of that.

Imbuing isn’t that great. All it does is turn a regular, non-magical item into a rare one. I usually use my imbues on belts, gloves and boots, as those are the hardest things to find good enchantments on. Feel free to burn your imbues when you find pieces of equipment you could use. Like if your belt sucks, take a non-magical belt (preferably Plated or Demonhide at this point in the game) and have Charsi imbue it.

Adding sockets is another matter entirely. Your sockets should be saved for as long as possible. Larzuk can add sockets to a non-magical item, making it available for rune words, but the number of sockets is random. Plus, you can add sockets to non-magical items with a Horadric Cube formula. You should save your Larzuk sockets for unique or set items. He can add one socket to a unique or set item, which can add a lot of power to an already great piece of equipment. Save your Larzuk sockets until you find endgame gear that you’re fairly certain you won’t be giving up. You can use the sockets that you get on all three difficulty levels. All you have to do is enter a game at a difficulty level where you haven’t used up your sockets yet.

  82. World Destruction is also pretty good so far. Production I.G. did some stellar work on the animation and the combat choreography in the first ep, so I might stick with it.

  83. Anyway, here’s my planned party: Landsknecht, Protector, Gunner, War Magus, Troubadour. Does that sound viable?

To be quite honest, any team is viable with enough work, but I couldn’t imagine a team without my Ronin or Alchemist. The lack of a Medic will probably be the biggest struggle, though- not having a quick Revive without returning to town or stocking up on items is a real pain. You might give Beast a try too because I, as well as many of the other people in the thread, found them to be a very interesting addition to our party dynamics.

  84. I fail at previewing posts. Anyway…

The director on Birdy this time is Kazuki Akane

Ah, I didn’t notice that. I haven’t seen Noein, but I do recognize him from Escaflowne and Heat Guy J. Interest level +50%!

  85. I also fail at italics tags.

MB, I haven’t watched World Destruction yet, but I’ve got it ready to go. I’ll check it out today.

  86. Though if you’re planning on using your War Magus for healing, I’d caution against it – the class’s mastery skill doesn’t give nearly as good a boost as the Medic’s and it’s healing suffers as a result.

I thought I read that a Protector can do a decent job healing, and was planning to use the War Magus as a damage dealer / backup healer. I don’t really know if it works that way in this game at all, but I can always start over if things are getting too rough.

  87. Re: Hellboy II: I feel like someone pulled a prank on me. I haven’t yet decided if I feel okay with this or not! I’ll exploit rei’s thread for further thoughts whenever fora return. return.

  88. Anyway, here’s my planned party: Landsknecht, Protector, Gunner, War Magus, Troubadour. Does that sound viable?

Sounds good to me. Though if you’re planning on using your War Magus for healing, I’d caution against it – the class’s mastery skill doesn’t give nearly as good a boost as the Medic’s and it’s healing suffers as a result. But otherwise, you shouldn’t have any trouble with the team if you build them right.

  89. I thought I read that a Protector can do a decent job healing, and was planning to use the War Magus as a damage dealer / backup healer. I don’t really know if it works that way in this game at all, but I can always start over if things are getting too rough.

It doesn’t work exactly that way, no, but I wouldn’t worry to be honest – once you get some of the items unlocked, healing becomes such a non-problem that you can squeak by most fights without having to cast a single healing spell, provided you have a decent enough offense to end them quickly.

In any case, I say give it a shot anyway – it looks like a fun team to use, and even if the healing suffers you’ve got a good balance of offensive and support skills to keep you going in even the tougher battles.

  90. I tried to use a War Magus instead of a Medic and just wasn’t willing to put in the work for it; you’ll never get Revive, you’re missing out on easy Scavenge (Hexers can get it but it requires 10-15 points to unlock, plus another 5 for mastery), your heals are less effective, and in exchange you get some untyped damage that only works if the creature’s already under a status effect. spineshark’s been running a pure-offense team so I mean, it’s doable to go without a Medic, but in that case you’d probably want a party member who could actually do damage, not a weak attacker/weak healer hybrid.

  91. Heh, it’s like a preview of all talking time condensed into a single thread of power.

Those drums look pretty awesome. Glad I held off on buying Rock Band (got to play my friends version).

  92. Well, I’mon the cusp of a Scientific Victory, and all it took was stalling for many dozens of turns after a Cultural or Economic Victory would be completed.

Awww, Alexander the Great thinks he can dash my dreams of Space Travel with pikemen and legionaires.

    That’s cute.

  93. i think my favorite “are you really trying that” moment was in civ2. There was this thing where if you took an enemy capital city, there was a chance for civil war, leading to teh enemy fissuring. The aztecs were a result of one of these, and they had no tech or weapons, and i was up to tanks and mech inf. They got all the chariots and warriors they could find, and mounted an attack. With one tank, i rolled over their entire nation.

    it rocked.

  94. Shivam! Stop picking on the Aztecs! :(

(A single soldier with chicken pox would have sufficed.)

  95. One of my last games I was playing on a higher difficulty and using the Spanish, and the Aztecs completely demolished me before I got to the Medieval Era.

  96. I’d browse TT a lot more at work, if it weren’t for my pesky minions. Damn you, minions.

I downloaded 8-bit Mega Man 7, and love it. Unfortunately my computer won’t allow more than two inputs at a time, so I can charge and run, or charge and jump. Not both. This makes the game even more tricky. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

  97. The charge shot is overrated. It turned a button-pressing game into a button-holding game.

  98. True. But I’ve died to spikes on at least one occasion as pressing fire killed my forward jump momentum (plus I suck with a keyboard, which doesn’t help). Is it just my computer that suffers from this?
