I keep trying to figure out the right tone and focus for my USgamer video projects, and hopefully this is it: This Day in Video Game History, a daily microseries we launched today.
It’s not the most original concept, this whole “daily retrospective on an event of this calendar date” concept, but I haven’t seen it done in video form before. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t, but at least I don’t know about it. And bet none of those other videos have a super monotone narrator, eh?
I probably won’t do weekend episodes beyond this month, but I thought I’d give them a try for a little while just to see how they perform versus weekday episodes. Anyway, give it a watch. It’ll take all of 104 seconds of your life. You can spare that much, at least.
Woo, videos short enough to sneak in at work!
I really like Starfox 64. It is easy to breeze through, but it you try to get the medals, unlock the hard mode, then get the medals on hard mode, it really elevates the level of play. The scores needed are generally achieved through extensive use of the charge bomb to take out clusters of enemies with each shot. “MY EMPEROR! I’VE FAILED YOU!” (Explodes into nothing in the vacuum of space) “Sorry to jet, but I’m in a hurry.”
