Add to Queue: Weekly DVD Releases
Is it coincidence that the two most highly-reviewed films arriving on home video the week of the Republican National Convention revolve around gay and gender issues? No doubt another attempt by Hollywood to spite the administration…which is of course entirely too busy grinding the Constitution under its jackboot heel to notice. This is precisely why it’s so silly for Hollywood to be political.
New Game Plus: Weekly Game Releases
Rather lurid prose on display this week! Our intrepid columnist goes so far as to call Spore the best PC game ever, despite presumably not having really played it all the way through yet. I think he’s feelin’ his oats a bit after guesting on this week’s upcoming Retronauts. I leave it to you, the forum-goers of Talking Time, to put him in his place.

Someone copy-pasted “Add to the Queue” one time too many. Otherwise, great job as usual.
I have to say that Frank Frazetta’s cover for “The Gauntlet” was pretty groovy: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1257673728/t..
Under Siege 2 has the best running scene in any movie ever made ever
copy pasted what? What’s the deal with that?
Isn’t there some equal time provision for Gamespite columnists and podcast appearances? Where’s the FCC when you need ’em. :D
Doesn’t Spore come out next week?
Spore is not out until 9/7, but since Rei was jet-setting around the nation sipping champagne with gaming’s heaviest of heavy hitters we can forgive him just this once.
@LilSpriteX: apparently the Gamespite week starts on Monday; last week’s GotW (Mercs2) was a Sunday release as well.

By the way, what is the word on your new website, vsrobot? Are you going to try your hand at podcasting again too?
Re: Spore release date– I use Amazon’s shipping schedule, and they’re qualifying Spore as shipping this week, I.E. Saturday. So there. Shut up.

Hollywood could just be betting on the potential audiences of those films having nothing to watch this week as they ignore the RNC. Sort of like how Star Trek marathons get scheduled opposite the Super Bowl.
“So there. Shut up.”
I just wanted to know =(
my new website is taking longer to set up than I thought. It’ll probably have to wait until I get back from Vegas.
Still really weirded out by the copy/paste comment. I work hard on my column. :(
I’m sorry for not being clear. When I first looked at the titles, they were both “Add To The Queue” although one should have said “New Game Plus”. I figured someone had just copied and pasted “Add To The Queue” twice.
I did not intend to offend you. I look forward to both of these articles at the beginning of the week the same way I look forward to 1up podcasts.
Ah, that makes sense. I must have gotten to the main page after Jeremy corrected the error, or else I didn’t notice it. I thought you were referring to something in my column, and I couldn’t figure out what.
AND you put the columns at the level of the 1up podcasts? WOW. High praise indeed!
