Yeah, yeah. It’s just a port of the PS1 game… but I will be quite put out if someone does not bring this to America. ‘Course, PSP games are region-free, so screw ’em if they don’t. Umihara Kawase for PSP: guaranteed to be the one game in 2008 that feels the most like the original Bionic Commando. Yes, that includes Capcom’s new Bionic Commando.

Wow. It’ll be available for a reasonable price, eh? That’s kind of cool, though I’ve heard it isn’t that great. But speaking of Capcom and Bionic Commando, I just got a copy of Magical Quest for SNES, and Mickey’s “Mountain Climber” (or whatever it’s called) outfit does a pretty good Radd Spencer impersonation.
Neat, this series was brought to my attention only a few days ago.
If they throw the Super Famicom game in the mix then I’m sold.
I don’t know what I’m looking at here, but Bionic Commando and walking fish are a winning combination in any book, so I’m sold.
As Fred Fredburger would say, “YES!”
Damn, for PSP. Time to get ePSXe then. I had never heard of this game, but like someone else said: Bionic Commando + Big Fish = the awesome.
I agree the new bionic commando by capcom will be like the new Final Fight Streetwise and will hae nothing to do with the original in terms of fun and gameplay. One wonders if the people who made Capcom awesome were fired or killed because it seems that now a bunch of cholos, the bloods and/or the mara salvatrucha run the company.
The bulk of Capcom’s Unbridled Awesome formed Clover after being run out of town on a rail.
“Time to get ePSXe then.”
Let me guess – you won’t be buying the actual game either.
Oh man. I would really love to be able to play Umihara Kawase, but I don’t have a PSP. Alas. Maybe if it actually sells well (hey, I can dream) they’ll make a DS port or sequel. Or make it available as a download on PS3, that’d work fine for me too.
Yeah, I’m not holding my breath. But it’d be the bestest unlikely present ever.
So when does thia gtet released in 2008? I’ve read about the game and I’ll easily import it for my PSP!
